Use a garden hose held at a 45-degree angle and spray the water. Spray between the pleats and dislodge all the foreign debris.

At least every four months (and every time you change the water) your hot tub filters should be soaked overnight according to the directions in the manual that came with it.
Rinse again and then allow the filter to completely dry out. It’s now ready to be reinstalled when the current hot tub filter needs changed.
